Snow is usually great. Many different runs and parks. Tube town and skating rink and Nordic skiing is available too. It amazes me that there are no real discounts for locals available. Either season pass or 4 pack.
Big parking lots close to lifts. Usually good snow
Bad locals deals, no patio to sit in sun and watch people coming down the slopes

I looked online for prices for a lift ticket for a day for my son and his ten year old daughter. He wanted to teach her how to snowboard. Online it said 120.00 for him and 60.00 for her so I have them the money to pay at the hill. When they got there the prices had changed it cost him 290.00 them to go boarding. Since she was just learning they only made one trip up the lift and a couple of times on the kids hill. It was a total rip off. And a waste of a Xmas gift. You should have better prices for single parents that want to teach their kids the enjoyment of hill. To expensive, total rip off for beginners.

I skied the 2020-21 season and had a great time. A good thing about the resort is the location, it rarely gets real cold here (-20c and below) so daytime temperatures are mostly 0c to -10c. The snow is excellent and the grooming is spot on. I think the variety of runs from beginner to expert would please all levels of skiers. The area is approximately 5 square miles so it takes a few days to explore all the terrain. Its good, try it out!!
excellent snow, fast lifts, easy drive to the resort, good prices, friendly staff.
I have no complaints.

I am convinced Silver Star is the most undervalued resort in North America. Prices are a fraction of other resorts and it has over 3000 acres of terrain. It has all the necessities in brightly colored ski village from a gourmet restaurant to middle of the road dining. Silver Star is especially good for families with the large variety of activities, ice skating on a natural pond, the most extensive nordic trail system on the continent, snowmobiling, and great mountain biking and hiking in the summer. The Kelowna airport is only 45 minutes, door to door. There are over an hundred wineries along the shores of nearby 84 mile long Lake Okanagan. Silver Star has it all.
Tremendous amount of terrain and very few skiers

I am a Trip Leader with the Bluewater Ski Club and we spent a week at Silver Star second week of March. Snow conditions were fantastic. Made sure to get early lifts to enjoy the great groomed runs. Great hill for the intermediate and beginner skier. Advanced skiers in the group enjoyed the challenging black and double blacks. Nice village with many places to grab a snack and beverage. I would highly recommend Long Johns Pub for its great atmosphere and service. The express lunch is served hot and right away. Had a steak there for dinner one night and it was perfect. Stayed at the Chilcoot Lodge and enjoyed it very much. Kitchen is not very big but you can still cook a great meal. Beds were like sleeping in a cloud, and had a great view of the mountains. I would definitely return to Silver Star with or without our Club.
Great terrain with long winding runs.
Could have used more dumps of snow.

An excellent resort that is very family friendly, lots of beginner/intermediate terrain along with numerous challenging double blacks in the Putnam Creek back chair.... the double black entrances are not extreme but provide substantial challenge... glade skiing is superb....a .brand new gondola ensures that lineups are generally non existent...large skiable acreage often makes it feel that you are alone on the hill... Okanagan temps are generally cold enough to ensure the snow is excellent without the extreme cold of the Rockies or the potential rain of coastal hills...
Great snow quality, full service resort, excellent for families
Night life is a bit quiet.... no extreme terrain

1. Great ski in ski out resort 2. Good range of ski runs, and the lifts are quick 3. Perfect place to accommodate for a large group or families 4. A large range of outdoor actives from skiing, cross country skiing, ice skating, tube slopes and more In summary, I loved it and will go back again.
Excellent ski-in ski-out resort
little night life
